Detailed Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh
On arrival at the airport in Vietnam you will be met by a See Asia Differently representative, who will transfer you to your hotel and then take you to a local restaurant for lunch and your first taste of Vietnamese Pho. In the afternoon you will enjoy a fabulous introduction to Ho Chi Minh City by visiting some of the city’s most notable sights such as the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh (Cu Chi Tunnels)
Today you will discover and learn about the Cu Chi Tunnels located 70km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. Created since 1948 the tunnels include an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapon shops, field hospitals and command centres. After spending time to explore the area you return back to Ho Chi Minh City and then continue to the moving War Remnants Museum which presents a partial, but riveting, view of the American War, as it is known in Vietnam. Upon returning to your hotel we can arrange a meeting room where you can hold an open discussion on Post-Vietnam War impact on Communities and Tourism.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh (An Phuc Charity Center)
After breakfast you will travel out of Ho Chi Minh City to the An Phuc Charity Center, which is home of over 20 children that have been affected by Agent Orange. Once here you can help the children with their daily tasks which include making some handicraft products so sell and bring in some much needed money for their families. Spending time at the centre and engaging with the children gives your students a sombre and real life insight into real global struggles and atrocities.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh to Ben Tre to Can Tho
Today you will travel to the province of Ben Tre, crossing the Rach Mieu bridge along the way. On arrival at Hung Vuong Pier you will board a motorized boat for a cruise down the Ben Tre River, one of the tributaries of the Mekong river. Along the way you will witness various local and regional activities, such as fishing and local artisans. Your first stop is at a brick kiln to observe how bricks are traditionally printed and baked, before continuing to one of the many coconut processing workshops located along canal. Back on the boat you carry on through a natural scissors creeks to traditional local village where they make sleeping mats. Moving on you take a motorized cart (tuk tuk) or bicycle along some shady paths, past some glorious scenery to local lunch stop by the riverside. The conclusion of your day is to take out a rowing boat along a beautiful water palm creek and back to the pier, before ending the day in Can Tho.

Day 5: Can Tho to Ho Chi Minh (Cai Rang Floating Market)
Rising early you will take a morning cruise along the small and picturesque tributaries, where you will see the mind boggling Cai Rang Floating Market, which is the busiest but nicest market on the delta. You have plenty of time for photographs as well as enjoying the scenery and witnessing the daily activities of the local people that make their living on water. Next you take a walk around a village and visit a traditional rice husking mill and then a fruit orchard where you can taste some of the seasonal fruits on offer that you may have not seen before. Carrying on you will discover the ancient 100 year old house of Binh Thuy that boasts a combination of French and Asian architecture. After some time exploring and learning you will then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh.

Day 6: Depart Ho Chi Minh
This morning you are free to enjoy your last morning in Vietnam as you wish until we arrange transportation to the airport for your departing flight home.
