Vietnam Wildlife Tour

Arrival & Ho Chi Minh to Nam Cat Tien | Drive: 3.5 hours

Upon arrival in Vietnam you are welcomed by a ‘See Asia Differently’ representative and transferred out of the city all the way to the Nam Cat Tien National Park; located near the Dong Nai River. You then check into your hotel and the rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish.

Crocodile Lake & Safari Night

A 5 am start will take you into the Jungle to observe the langurs. Returning for breakfast you then travel the short distance to Crocodile Lake (Bau Sau). Once there you can enjoy the beauty of the peafowl and water birds dancing in wild, as well as the sights and sounds of the incredibly diverse area rich with wildlife, as well as trees, flora and fauna. In the evening you take part in a night safari; starting by car along the jungle trails to observe wild animals, such as deer, wild pigs, snakes, porcupines, gaur (rare) and weasels. They forage for food in the grasslands or bushes when it becomes dark. After sighting these exciting animals you then head back for the night in preparation for your journey to Hanoi in the morning.

Back to Saigon & to Hanoi | Transport: 5.5 hours

This morning you leave behind the National Park in exchange for the bright lights of city life. You transfer to the Ho Chi Minh airport to catch a flight to Hanoi. Upon your arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to your selected hotel, where you then have the rest of the day to spend as you wish. Alternatively, a city discovery tour of Hanoi could be arranged.

Hanoi to Ninh Binh | Drive: 1.5 hours

After breakfast your journey to the province of Ninh Binh. On arrival, you will meet your specialist wildlife guide that has come from the Cuc Phuong National park. In the afternoon you venture out to ‘Cat Scratch mountain’, home to Delacour’s langurs (Voọc in Vietnamese), these precious animals are in the World’s Red Book. You then reach Van Long Wharf, where you take a boat trip along the reservoir of Van Long Nature Reserve – the largest wetland of Northern Vietnam. The green landscape filled with many kinds of animals will provide you with opportunities for spectacular photos.

Ninh Binh to Cat Ba Island | Drive: 2.5 hours

This morning you leave Ninh Binh behind and head for Hai Phong, where you board a hydrofoil to Cat Ba Island. Once you arrive you can check into your hotel room and then have the rest of your day to spend as you wish.

Cat Ba National Park

Today you travel out to the Cat Ba National Park, where you take a 14km trek, crossing the jungle on a single trail dirt path. The highlight of this trek is the incredible views you will get at certain vantage points as you walk, as well as seeing various insects and foliage. The trek ends in the isolated village of Viet Hai village, where you will enjoy a locally prepared meal, In the afternoon, you have two options; either hiking to Navy peak or take a relaxed walk to a picturesque rice field before taking a cyclo ride along a jungle road to Lan Ha Bay, where you can stop at the beach, relax and have a swim before heading back to Cat Ba Island.

Cat Ba Island to Hanoi | Drive: 2.5 hours

After breakfast, you will have some free time to relax before you take the hydrofoil back to Hai Phong. You then transfer by car all the way to Hanoi. You are then free to enjoy the city as you wish or a half-day city tour could be arranged, where you can visit some of the cities more important sites or take a cyclo tour through the old French quarter.

Departure

After breakfast you are free to enjoy the morning as you wish before being transferred to the airport with plenty of time for your departing flight home.
