Our flight department at See Asia Differently has 25 years’ experience in aviation with access to most IATA airlines and all discounted flights that are available in the market. To achieve this, we have made special agreements with airlines and work closely with some of the industry’s long established airline consolidators. In UK, our airline ticket partner is JTA travel (established in 1972). JTA are one of the UK’s leading independent flight wholesalers in UK’s competitive market for most of the world’s leading airlines, including Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, Qantas, Etihad, Singapore Airlines to name but a few. JTA has won many nominations at the prestigious Globe Awards, as well as winning ‘best flight specialist’ for the Elite Travel Group for the last 5 years. The company is also fully bonded with ABTA, ATOL and IATA which means that your flights are well protected.
General Flight Fare Rules:
Between 2 destinations; usually only the national carriers (though there are some exemptions) will be able to offer non-stop services. All other airlines offering flights to the same points will operate via their hub. For example: Flights between London and Bangkok, British Airways and Thai Airways are the national carriers and offer direct flights (exemption here is Eva Air which stops at Bangkok en-route to Taipei). While Qatar Airlines – national airline of Qatar – will operate to Bangkok via their hub, which is Doha. Non-stop and direct flight services tend to be more expensive. Cost of flights will always go up on high seasons, Christmas, Easter and sometimes during school half terms.
Booking long in advance can guarantee you the best rates and most convenient connections. Discounted airline tickets, always come with closed rules and restrictions. Most times, these tickets are non-refundable, non-re-routable and non-changeable. Please make sure you understand what you are purchasing.
Make sure that the spelling of your name and surname match the spelling of your passport. Due to security, airlines are very strict on this and changing the spelling of your name after tickets are issued will incur an extra charge. Upon check-in, airlines will make sure that you have the correct documentation to your final destination. If your documentation is insufficient they will not let you board the plane.
Make sure the airlines you are about to use are members of IATA. In particular countries, like Indonesia, using a non IATA airline member may be difficult to avoid. Please make sure to check where you stand with your travel insurance. According to the fare, you may be asked to pay in full and issue tickets long in advance of your travelling dates. This is quite normal but also guarantees the discounted fare.
