This Beaches of Cambodia Tour focuses on the south of the country. While we want you to return home well rested, we still believe you should enjoy some insights into this beautiful country and its wonderful people, so we have planned some highlights in the country’s capital, Phnom Penh, first. The beaches of Cambodia are often overlooked in favour of the Angkor temples in the north of the country. However, if you are looking to escape the crowds and relax, this is definitely the tour for you!
We begin in the Cambodian capital, where you will have time to uncover the dark secrets of the Killing Fields near Phnom Penh, before journeying south following the fresh sea air. On the way to the coast you will pause at the riverside town of Kampot, where you will discover the derelict Bokor Hill Station. From here you continue on to Kep and spend a day on Koh Tonsay (Rabbit Island), home to a stunning and secluded beach. Next on the agenda is more tranquillity as you shuffle along the coast to Sihanoukville, the finest of Cambodia resorts. From here you can explore the pristine islands, which lie just off the coast in the warm waters of the Gulf of Thailand.

Cyclo Tour, S21 Museum & River Cruise
Enjoy a Phnom Penh cyclo tour in the morning, seeing the capital’s key sites, such as Wat Phnom, the National Library, the Central Market, Independence Monument, the National Museum, Phnom Penh train station, and, of course, the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. You will be dropped by the river to enjoy lunch before visiting the infamous Tuol Sleng Museum (S-21), where you can learn about the turbulent recent history of Cambodia. For the evening you will enjoy a dinner cruise along the Mighty Mekong River, a perfect way to end any day.

Day 3
Kampot
Phnom Penh to Kampot | Drive: 2 hours
This morning you will get picked up from your hotel and be taken to the Choeung Ek (Killing Fields), which is located about 17km southwest of Phnom Penh and is the best known of the various Killing Field sites in Cambodia. You will spend the morning being guided around the site, learning about the turbulent recent history of Cambodia. After your tour, you will continue your journey south to the riverside town of Kampot, where you will arrive in time for a late lunch.

Day 4
Kep
Kampot to Kep | Drive: 45min
Today you will enjoy a fabulous day visiting Bokor Hill Station where you can see a church, the old and new casinos and the old royal residence. The property was built by French authorities in the early 1920s to escape the high summer temperatures, and it boasts incredible views of Cambodia’s coastline. On your half-day scenic trip is also possible to arrange a picnic lunch for you to enjoy at the top of the hill overlooking the coast. From here you will then travel the short distance to Kep on the coast.

Day 5
Kep
Rabbit Island
Today you board a Cambodian boat, as you head out to Koh Tonsay (Rabbit Island). Your journey across calm water to this beautiful palm-fringed island, home to a small community of fisherfolk and farmers. Here you will find a stunning and secluded beach; you can enjoy the day relaxing on one of Cambodia’s best beaches.

Sihanoukville
Kep to Sihanoukville | Drive: 3 hours
Today you will drift further down the coast to Sihanoukville, which has been voted as one of the best bays in the world. Upon arrival, you can enjoy lunch at a beachside restaurant and spend the remainder of the day as you wish, either at the beach or exploring the shops that lie along Serendipity beach road.

Koh Rong Samloem
Sihanoukville to Koh Rong Samloem
Next three days will be spent on the stunning island of Koh Rong Samloem, one of the finest Cambodian Islands. To get there you will take a local boat. Once on the island, you can laze about, unwind, chill out at the bar, swing in the hammocks and enjoy the magnificent beaches and sunsets.
